Happy jogger diary – week No. 1

I decided to run a diary of my trainings. Nooo, I do not exaggarate with my jogging. :P It has started a few weeks ago, but let me mark this week as the first. I will put down sumarries of some of the easy and hard trainings of the current week.

I have been noticing that not every week feels the same when running and training as mad. :) So it will be interesting to monitor my physical and psychical feeling. Um, they seem so similar when written, don’t they, physical and psychical? :)

I will remember this week by the training on Tuesday. For the first time I have experienced how it feels when you lose your breathe … Literally. How did it happen, you may ask me? :P Dejan, my coach, invited me to join him and Neja, a young perspective runner, on their training on a stadium. We started with easy jogging in circles, and continued with some different athletic exercises. Neja then had 10 times 400 meters, for me the distance was shorter by 100 meters. I followed her pace every circle, and in the beginning it was ok. The feeling was actually awesome, training together with the national champion in half marathon. ;) But then, after the 8th iteration, I had to stop … Because I could not inhale enough oxygen. AAA! I had to stop and concentrate on my breathing. Slowly I was breathing as deep as I could, and wait for this mini attack to pass. Dejan asked me, if I was ok. Yes!, I shouted from another side of the staduim.  Then I proceeded and run the last two 300 meters. Huh! I must admit, in the end I felt very olympic! :D Because I didn’t quit, but finished my training. ;)
