DM run – only for the girls

Each year Drogerie Markt organizes a running match for women called “DM tek za ženske”. This is the first match I have ever applied that is why it is especially important to me.

This year, as you could read on my blog, I am not in my best running stamina. Haha, “well I know, I have been reading all your grumpy blogs”, you may think right now … :D I admit, I cannot hold all my feelings inside … Sooo I was not sure until the last day of the cheaper fee to the match if I should go or not. :P And I decided to go. To jump over my fear for the bad results and just trust my legs and the Komenda run result.

The night before I could hardly sleep, which is usually a good sign. :) I woke up few hours before to have an early breakfast. No coffee just in case. ;) My friend went with me and when we came to the crime scene, there were already million of pink women. :)

This is what Tivoli looks like on DM day. :) It is like a flood of pinkiness. :D

Before the match I am like don’t look at me, don’t talk to me … actually don’t have any communication with me whatsoever. :P It is like a preparation for the match. I have to let the competitiveness rule my body.

This year was the 10th time of this match so they had to do somethinjg special. Among other things was the change of the route. We were running through the centre which I thought will be better because of the slopes. But it turned out it was a pretty bad decision or better said the route was planned really bad.

But anyway, it was really hard for me. All 4.4300 metres were a struggle. After 2 kilometres I was already tired aaa. :P But I finished the race on a 7th place! :D And this year I finally got the more shiny medal: silver!! :D

I have the silver medal!

I have the silver medal! Yeaaaah!

I have the silver medal!

Races like this pumps me up with new motivation, I just need a new training plan. :)
