A book fair in Cankarjev dom

On a sleepy Sunday, on thelast day in November, I decided to visit book fair in Cankarjev dom in the city centre. Unfortunately I don’t have much time to read books, but still I like to have at least a feeling that I am up to date what is going on it the world of book publishing.

A good selection of romantic novels :)

I went alone, I prefer not having company on occasions like this. Simply because I want to look at the books that interest me, not the one I go with. Yeah, I admit, I can be extremely inflexible. :P And since the New Year is coming I wanted to buy some gifts. So I was looking at countless appealing books for children and even bought one for my nephew. J Isn’t it gorgeous? J Other than those there were mainly comercial kind of literature, about cooking of course. Well, I bought those, too. :P For my mum. She loves to experiment in the kitchen and I love to give her recipes to taste new food combinations. :D Aren’t I a truly loving daughter? :P

A fairytale about a snow men - especially for my nephew :)

I was looking at sport literature but with no luck. Most of sport kind of stuff presented a man, who stopped me in the middle of fair and started selling these specials beds for sportmen. Well,I was listening to him, because it is always interesting to observe different kind of selling methods. J He didn’t convince me, I just took the brochure and went on. Try next one, dude. :)

What entertained me most, to be honest, were them salesmen of the publisher where I bought those cook books. They were likable trying to make me laugh. They succeded actually with their clumsy moves. :)

Mmm ... a cook book :)

Anyway, book fairs (why do I always want to write affairs instead of fairs?? :D) are always a welcome event, especially on a cloudy, winter Sunday.
