A beautiful trip around lake Geneva

The second day in Geneva we drove the entire circle around the lake. What a day! I could not hide my surprise for so many beautiful sceneries! <3

The first hidden gem is a little medieval village Yvoire. We parked in a well marked parking space and went for a walk around the village. The pictures could not take all the beauty, no matter the angle … A castle (I am in love in the french word château), cute restaurants (many of them closed due to holidays), a souvenir store, and many gulls are making a fairytale-like place.

I will remember this trip are croissants. What can be more exciting than driving around a french countryside and stopping in a no name village to buy some? :)) Those croissants are my favourite by now! :) Two plain with butter and two with sliced almonds! Mmm. ;) I forgot the name of that unforgetable patisserie though.

And in the middle of nowhere … :D

The next big thing around the lake is Montreaux. Famous for Freddy Mercury, because he was living and creating there. If course I had to take a shot with him. :P

I will have to work harder to get the Freddy Mercury move :P

The city is full of luxurious villas and shops. We went for a short walk, because we were running out of daylight. :)

For me the most incredible thing is Chateau de Chillon. I wrote a separate blog post about it.
